The clinics promote wellbeing in living and working environments through sustainable DRE access and energy efficiency in healthcare delivery.
Bridging the energy gap: SELCO Foundation is working on energy-health pilot projects with partners who are experts in providing quality healthcare services to vulnerable communities. The pilots are spread across varied geographies (Karnataka, Orissa, Chattisgarh, North East), communities (urban, tribal and rural) and delivery models (Govt PHCs, PPP PHCs, NGOs and boat clinics). The pilots critically evaluate and address energy gaps that hamper the delivery of quality health care. The program identifies technologies, devices and processes that can increase the efficiency and mobility of healthcare delivery. In addition, it designs optimized DRE systems, develops frameworks and criteria for the optimization of energy use.
